Euro NCAP 2026 Protocols Are Coming: Track Applications Suite 2025b Leads the Way with Full Compatibility

With the gradual rollout of the Euro NCAP 2026 protocols, both OEMs and test agencies are facing a new wave of safety-testing challenges. Compared with previous verification processes, the 2026 protocols push “Crash Avoidance” testing into a more complex, realistic, and comprehensive direction.

Against this backdrop, the release of Track Applications Suite 2025b brings the industry the most complete and most 2026-compliant testing support to date.

1. Major Updates to Ground Traffic Control (GTC 3.0)

  • A unified, intuitive interface for multi-vehicle driverless testing

  • Centralized fleet control and automated scheduling to reduce manual operations

  • Drag-and-drop workflow customization — enabling faster deployment without coding

2. ABD Also Introduces Two All-New Optional Modules

● Fleet Management

This module gives users an unprecedented level of control over the entire vehicle fleet. Designed specifically for large-scale test operations, it includes:

  • Deploy, start, and resume tests across all vehicles simultaneously

  • Faster entry and exit processes for multiple driverless vehicles

  • Rapid test recovery and automatic rejoin behavior

  • A fleet event history panel for full visibility into fleet performance

● Euro NCAP 2026 Special Groups

With the upgrade to Track Applications Suite 2025b, we are introducing the new Special Groups for Euro NCAP 2026. This optional upgrade pack provides all pre-configured tests for the new Euro NCAP Crash Avoidance protocols, including forward, lane departure, and low-speed collision scenarios.

The module contains over 2,000 auto-generated test combinations and supports more than 1,200 scenarios, making it the most comprehensive update ever released. For added flexibility, users may manually customize these pre-built tests to run robustness testing.

3. Euro NCAP 2026 Testing — Now Possible Even on Small Test Tracks

For constrained test facilities, multiple updates have been introduced to maximize usability without compromising test quality. These include:

  • A new rolling start capability to give the VUT more flexible acceleration options

  • Optimized platform acceleration segments allowing platforms to reach test speed in minimal space while reducing time and distance errors

These improvements significantly shrink the steady-state portion of the test run, enabling higher track-use efficiency while still meeting protocol tolerances.

4. New “Move to POI” Functionality

The Euro NCAP 2026 Special Groups also allow users to utilize the new Move to POI functionality (for ADAS targets) even without purchasing the full Move to Point module. Move to Point reduces navigation steps, decreases the number of clicks, and lowers the risk of selecting the wrong test—making zero-range checks or impact-point verification easier.

Additional features include:

  • Integrated Move to Point functionality

  • Flexible VUT and platform acceleration methods for constrained test areas

  • Greater flexibility for customers to extend or modify testing

As the Euro NCAP 2026 standards are formally implemented, safety testing is no longer just about verifying “can the vehicle stop?”, but about confirming whether the vehicle can maintain stable perception and behavior under complex real-world disturbances.

The release of Track Applications Suite 2025b marks a major milestone: the industry toolchain has officially entered the era of full support for the 2026 protocols.

The next two years will be a critical window for ADAS test methodologies to evolve toward real-world logic, where automation, scale, multi-vehicle coordination, and high-precision control will become the dominant trends.
