The system uses center-console and instrument-cluster cameras to extract traffic signs recognized by the in-vehicle system, a combined inertial navigation system (INS) outputs accurate vehicle motion information, a forward-facing camera assists forward visual information collection, and an on-board touch display supports display and assisted acquisition operations.
